Likud Members Support Migron: An Essential Part of Israel

About 1,500 Likud members visited the community of Migron in Binyamin on Tuesday.

The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the community members and to call on the Israeli government to stop the destruction of communities that is expected to take place after Sukkot. Aside from Migron, demolitions are also planned in Givat Assaf and Beit El.

One of the participants in the visit was Minister of Information and Diaspora Yuli Edelstein, who said, “Anyone who says Migron is not on private land is lying. Migron is private Israeli land and no one else has the right to it. Likud unequivocally says no to destruction and yes to continued settlement in Judea and Samaria.”

Minister Yossi Peled said, “As a warrior who fought many wars over the years, I say today: The State of Israel was not established for peace but to ensure our physical existence in Israel. Migron is an essential part of settling the land.”

MK Tzipi Hotovely mentioned the return of Gilad Shalit, saying, “The heart of the people of Israel is in Mitzpe Hila in the Galilee today, but we have to say very clearly: if the Israeli government will release hundreds of terrorists with one hand and destroy villages in Samaria and Binyamin with the other hand, it has no right to exist.”

MK Yariv Levin, who recently announced that he intends to submit a bill to the Knesset which will fight the planned demolitions of Jewish homes, said, “When I asked why the recent destruction in Migron was being permitted, I was told there was nothing that can be done when the Supreme Court issues a ruling. There is no bigger lie than this. When the Knesset begins its winter session we will act to legislate and legally regulate the subject of lands in Judea and Samaria.”
