‘Jerusalem’ by National Geographic

National Geographic

Jerusalem takes audiences on an inspiring and breathtaking tour of one of the world’s oldest and most enigmatic cities. Destroyed and rebuilt countless times over 5,000 years, Jerusalem’s enduring appeal remains a mystery. What made it so important to so many different cultures? How did it become the center of the world for three major religions? Why does it still matter to us?

Given unprecedented access to Jerusalem’s Old City, the filmmakers answer these questions and more as they follow three young Jerusalemites—Jewish, Christian, and Muslim—and their families. Through their eyes, as well as from the perspective of a noted archaeologist working in the region, audiences will learn what it means to call Jerusalem home, and understand why it remains a city revered by half the world’s population. Learn more about the film at http://jerusalemthemovie.com. Narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch.
